About Us

Our lab primarily focuses on understanding internal attention from a cognitive neuroscience perspective. Often described as mind wandering, internal attention involves focusing internally on processes such as autobiographical memory recall and decision-making. Although it takes up a notable portion of our mental life, we know very little about how our brain supports this experience and how this experience in turn impacts our behavior and well-being.
